I’m so excited to photograph your sweet new baby!
I wanted to share a few tips on how to prepare for your newborn session so everything feels relaxed and stress-free.

What to expect.
Newborn sessions are very laid-back and baby-led. We’ll take breaks as needed for feeding, soothing, and diaper changes. Your baby’s comfort and safety are always my top priority. Some babies settle quickly, others need a little extra time, and that’s perfectly normal.
My home studio will be nice and warm (it helps baby stay cosy and sleepy), so you might want to dress in light layers.
What to wear.
For parents and siblings, neutral and soft tones photograph beautifully—think creams, whites, beiges, soft grey, or muted pastels. Simple, comfortable outfits without bold patterns or logos work best. Texture (like knits or linen) adds a lovely touch.
For baby, no need to worry. I’ll have wraps, outfits, and props ready, so you don’t need to bring anything unless you have a sentimental item you’d love to include.
How long it will take.
Please plan for about 2–3 hours. This allows plenty of time to move slowly and calmly without feeling rushed. Even though it sounds long, much of that time is spent soothing and getting baby comfortable.
What to bring.
• Extra nappies and wipes (just in case!)
• Bottles or milk if you’re bottle-feeding
• A soother — even if baby doesn’t usually take one, it can be really helpful for posing
• A few snacks and drinks for yourselves. I also have some bottles of water.
When pictures will be ready.
Process might take up to two weeks, and you will be informed that photos are ready for collection. You will receive prints in size 6"x8" and digital copy on usb. If you prefer them to be posted, just send me your full address including eircode, and I will post them to you at no extra cost.
A few final tips.
Try to keep baby awake for about an hour before arriving, and give them a good feed right before the session — a full and sleepy baby is perfect for the kind of photos we’ll create!
